Obituary

Enrique Berdeja, of Burke, VA passed away on March 2 nd , 2024. He was surrounded by his
family.

Enrique’s legacy carries on with his wife of 55 years, Gloria Berdeja; daughter Gloria Lourdes
Bradley; son Armando Berdeja; granddaughters Natalie and Hazel Bradley; many nieces and
nephews and a group of extended family and friends whom he loved dearly.
Friends and family are invited to attend the service to be held at the Nativity Catholic Church
located at 6400 Nativity ln, Burke VA, 22015, at 11 am, Wednesday March 20.
In honor of his wishes a private burial will be held at a different date.

More than 50 years ago, Henry, in his usual caring for the people arriving from our hometown in Oruro, Bolivia, came to the hotel in DC , took me to the dinner counter at a Drug Dart store where I tasted a delicious hamburger and a milk shake. Then he took me for a drive around the George Washington Parkway. It was then I realized that I wanted to come back to the DC for good, and that wish came true in 1972 when I came to GWU. Since then we were always in touch with Henry, Gloria, we were present days after their children Lourdes and Armando were born. I have, like these, many good memories of my friend Enrique. And am very sad that he’s gone.
