Celebrating the Life of
May 31, 1972 — February 10, 2021
In total submissions to the will of God and with heavy hearts, we announce the passing on of our dear wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Pastor Emily "Mimi" Ijeoma Ukaegbu Udo on February 10, 2021
The “Dash” of Pastor Emily ‘Mimi’ Ijeoma Udo
Emily born 1972 died 2021 will now have engraved on the tombstone 1972 “dash” 2021, representing the beginning to the end of her life here on earth.
The “dash” represents all the time she spent alive on earth and all that God used her to accomplish here on earth. Only those that her life touched, know what that little line (dash) is worth. It is worth more than words can say. Only eternity will make it clearer.
Emily Ijeoma Udo was the first born child of Dr. Sam and Rev Faith Ukaegbu. She has four other siblings; Nkechi, Blessing, Gideon and Gloria. As a wonderful, obedient child, she went to school and graduated from college with a degree in Social work. She worked as a social worker touching lives and speaking love and hope into many families. Through her, many of the families saw the love of God made manifest and yielded to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
She got married and remained married upholding the marriage vows she took at the altar. She continuously upheld and remained indeed a helpmate to her husband, Pastor Michael. Both were blessed with three wonderful children- Emeka, Chiamaka and Chidi. In oneness of purpose they brought up these children to remain examples of believers in all that they do.
In her work in the vineyard of God she touched lives all over the world in different countries including United States of America. In the church she remained the Praise and Worship Leader, the “All Nation International School (ANIS)” Administrator, “Married and Engaged” Minister and Counsellor, Intercessor, Cell Group leader and Spiritual mother to many.
She recently celebrated the publishing of her book “The Heart of Worship” that has been a source of inspiration, strength, comfort and joy to many. She launched the “Women outreach Ministry” to the less privileged communities both here in California and Nigeria. She developed and hosted the “25 days of Christmas” outreach program, to reach many lives via radio and TV stations.
Indeed, her “dash” is filled with works worthy of emulation. She lived a very short life but her “dash” though tender, I know will be rewarded by God. So think about this long and hard; are there things you’d like to change regarding your “dash”? You never know how much time is left. Pastor Mimi has left us all a legacy in her “dash” for us to reflect on. Maybe, it will help us to treat each other with respect remembering that the “dash” might only last but for a little while.
Pastor Mimi, if the rapture takes place soon, we will be reunited with you, never to part again. Sleep, Baby Girl, Sleep. You ran your race and you finished your course. Well done as you have joined the cloud of witnesses. Though heartbroken we still know and say that God never fails.

The "Lolo" of Udo family; the strong and magnificent woman of God, a loving and devoted wife, the mother to three wonderful children, and a mother to many. This picture of you taking the family(immediate and extended) out, truly captures the light that you are, the uniting force that you are, the loving mother that you are and the "Lolo" of Udo family that you are. May the peace of God that passeth all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of your children, husband and us your family. You will be missed...rest in peace...

Sisters Love.
We are deeply saddened of the passing of Emily. As family friends to Blessing and Amos, we knew about her love for people and deep commitment to her family. I remember her visit to London a couple of years ago, we spent an evening with her, we had a good laugh. Pray God's comfort for all she left behind.
Mimi, in the short period you lived, you touched and inspired many lives positively. In one of my visits to Los Angeles, I attended the service in which you lead the worship session. I was spiritually refreshed that at the end of the service I remarked that you di not just sing but you ministered in songs. We thank God for the gift he bestowed on you, and that you manifested successfully. Chike & Diuto Esiobu

Emily Udo nee Ukaegbu. When I received the sad news of your demise "Thursday" Feb. 11 2021. My memory went back to same "Thursday" 31 1973. The arrival of the 1st granddaughter of Mazi Steven otaka Ukaegbu. From all available information you fought gallantly to overcome death, but, Death comes when it will come and it's beyond human understanding. My love for you and your kind hearted SHALL never die. I lack words to express my emotions and feelings. He God would console all UDO & UKAEGBU families. My consolations remains that you're in the bosom of the Lord. Amen. Deacon D. Ukaegbu.

Aunty Mimi, Forever the life of the party. Forever in our hearts.
My pastor, this piece is for you since death never gave chance to bid you farewell, but I’m sure as I write this piece, you are in a place of rest, crowned with a crown of glory. The battle is over, you have won the victory. Nevertheless, some memories just do not go away, they do not fade. Memories of our joyful discussions over the phone and in person, the times you prayed with me, your support, giving spirit, understanding heart that looked passed my weaknesses and still related with me, you were very considerate of people. These I will always cherish, because to me, you were just a beautiful soul. However, I will always abhor memories of the day news of your demise was broken to me. you were my confidant, and I knew you for a decade yet it seemed like I had known you all my life. You have left a vacuum that words have failed me to describe but the solace is that we shall meet again in God’s kingdom. Rest well my pastor, and grace to your family. I loved you. Cerina Enoghase
