Emily Frances Cardwell, 46, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024 in Louisville, KY.
Emily was a nurse, lover of animals, artist, author, and speaker. She was a champion for patient rights and the level of care they received. Emily ran support groups and helped countless others better endure their own battles.
In the end Emily had fought enough for herself and was ready for the next journey.
Emily was predeceased by her brother Reuben Cardwell and stepmother, Carmen Cardwell. Emily is survived by Linda and Mike Davis (mother and stepfather), Bob Cardwell (father), a brother, Matt (Nicole), stepbrothers Micky Davis (Melissa) and Jason Bailey, and her aunt, Pat Groff, who was her mentor in the medical field & huge source of support. She was especially proud of her nieces Lydia, Eva & Jessica, her beloved friends who stayed so close by her side, her dog Rosie, her birds, and the many others who knew her and were touched by her generous spirit.
