I unfortunately could not find any old photos of Elvis. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember he would tell me he was like the Black Homer Simpson. He truly was a silly man and I love to see that his humor will live on in everyone he met. Elvis was more than a good laugh, he was respectful of time, loving, generous and honest.
I don’t have any pictures of Uncle Elvis but I have a memory etched in my mind of a specific road trip we did with family. He was always so goofy and funny. He was driving a van over some hills. He went so fast over them that we all jumped off our seats. The laughter we all shared at that time stayed with me. He will be greatly missed. See you Uncle someday in heaven.❤️🙏

This was at Elvis Carruthers Sr’s (Fundaddys) Memorial.

Uncle was a Comedian… he put Jeannette's slippers on… we laughed so hard.

Looking at a few memories we have shared. Missing you rest in peace, your sister Brenda.

Uncle Elvis I miss you so much, tell Grandma Katie and my Dad hello for me. I know everyone is having a great time in the Lord.🙏🙏🙏🙏💙💙💙💙 (See you when I get there).

Dear Grandpa, I will forever miss the way you called me 'Mr. Mikey' and how you filled our lives with your love and generosity. I take comfort knowing you are now celebrating with the Lord. You will always be in my heart. -Love Mikey
The few times that I had met Elvis, he was always so layed back and relaxed. I found him to be interesting. Starting from his unique name, to wondering what kind of work did he do as a younger man. I enjoyed conversation with him. Seeing all of the pictures with him and his family has shown me a side I didn’t see before. He definitely had a big family filled with people who loved and cared about him. <3

What can I say… Elvis always treated me like family from the first day I met him till his final breaths. “What’s up man” I sure will miss hearing that every time I showed up at his front door. Elvis really grew on me as we became closer during his last few years. One of his funny sayings that I remember whenever you tried to pay him a compliment was… “ahh you’re just saying that” followed by a pause and then “because it’s true!” It felt good just hanging out with him even if words weren’t exchanged, you knew he was glad to just have you around. We’ll see you again in heaven soon enough Elvis, you were greatly loved and will be greatly missed!

I miss and love you so much grandpa! I will always remember your laugh and clever jokes. Thank you for always showing me how much you loved me and my siblings.
