Celebrating the Life of
April 14, 1955 — December 29, 2023
Dorene Griffith, resident of Oldtown, Idaho passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on the morning of December 29th, 2023 in the presence of her sister, Sherlee and Nephew Jacob.
Dorene was born in San Diego, California on April 14, 1955. She grew up in National City, California along side her partner in crime and sister Sherlee. She attended High School at Sweetwater High School and moved on to attend South Western College. She made a successful career following the career path in accounting and credentialing. At the time of her passing, she was employed by Genesis Care, where she dedicated 20 years of her professional career to. Although Dorene had many career accomplishments to be proud of, The one thing Dorene was most proud of was her marriage to Donald Griffith on May 12th, 1990. Dorene and Donald loved each other immensely, they were made for each other. They moved out to Oldtown, Idaho where they built their dream property and over the years have grown there while raising their many lab puppy’s and sharing it with all of us kids. They always had an open door policy, and made sure you ALWAYS knew that. Unfortunately, we lost our beloved Uncle Don in 2021 and now find peace knowing that the two love birds have now reunited at the garden of promise on the property they both loved so much.
Dorene is survived by her sister Sherlee Pugh, her nephew Jacob Pugh, her niece Stacy Biggs and partner Paul Biggs, her niece Lauren Dunlap, her great niece Cassydi Pugh and partner Devan O’Neal, great niece Jacquelin Pugh, and 2 great-great nephews Deegan Oneal and Ryan Oneal, fur babies Emma, Paisley and Bo. She is also survived by many friends and friends that have turned into family over the years. Dorene was a light in everyone’s life and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.
