Celebrating the Life of
March 15, 1956 — July 11, 2024
Denise Rebecca McGee High was born on March 15, 1956 in Detroit Michigan and was raised in Riverdale GA.
Denise was 68 years old at the time of her sudden death. Denise was a hairdresser by trade in her early years and volunteered much of her time at the Georgia Food and Resource Center for the last few years of her precious life.
Denise High was preceded in death by her loving husband Maury High (Rocket) as well as her son Heath High. She is also survived by her 3 children. Michelle White, daughter, along with her husband Dewayne White, Justin High, son, along with wife Andie High, Heather High, daughter along with partner Tony Marlin. Her 7 grandchildren, Taylor White, Tylor White, Chance High, Hailey Knight along with husband Evan Knight , McKinley High, Lilly High, Cadence High. Two great grandchildren. Jaedyn White, Caíson High
Many called her Denise, but her most treasured, called her Nina. Denise had a heart of gold and her primary desires were to serve others. It’s not surprising that when she took her last breath she was serving her friends by cooking breakfast where she volunteered.
Denise lived her best life by keeping her faith, loving her family, devoted to friends and supporting her work.
Denise enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing practical jokes, thrifting, collecting, storytelling, giving advice but most enjoyed keeping her great grandchildren and blessing the family.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 19 at Unity Baptist Church 75 Valley Hill Rd, Stockbridge GA at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation in Denise’s honor to the Georgia Food and resource Center . Where she served and blessed so many for years.
