Demete Ross passed away on May 7, 2024, in Las Vegas at the age of 56. Born on June 27, 1968, Demete was a beacon of kindness and generosity, always eager to help and care for others.
Demete's early education was completed at El Dorado High School. She dedicated much of her professional life to the transportation of students and residents within Clark County. She began her career as a school bus driver with the Clark County School District, holding this position for 15 years.
Following her tenure there, she continued her service with the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) as a bus driver for about 10 years.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Demete was a devoted member of the Deliverance Temple Church Of God In Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Jesse and Lillian Moore.
Demete is survived by a loving family, including 9 children, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris "Tina" Holiday and Clifton Eugene Burns.
A celebration of Demetes life will be held on October 9, 2024. Her life and legacy will be remembered as a shining example of unconditional love and unwavering support to her community and familv.
