Obituary
on January 23, 2024, at the age of 65, in Bryn Mawr Hospital, my beloved mother Deborah Lee (Clee) McConnell-Yon took her last breath at 3:55 pm after a year-long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Kyu Yon, her daughter Kylee McConnell-Murphy, and brother William McConnell Jr. She was preceded in death by parents William and Lorraine McConnell. She was born December 5, 1959, and was raised by loving adopted parents, Lorraine McConnell and William McConnell of Prospect Park PA. She attended Providence Friends School and graduated class of 1979. She attended Temple University and had a degree in Physical Anthropology, Human Biology as well as in Fine Art. She married her best friend and love, Kyu Yon and they lived together in Secane, PA from 2005 until her time of passing. She worked many years as a veterinary technician and also as a private tutor for high school and college students specializing in students having "math anxiety". She had a great love for all creatures, but a special passion for horses and skill as a horseback rider and trainer. She is greatly missed and forever loved.
