Daymond 40 , passed away on March 19, 2024, at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 21, 1984, in Washington. DC to Ethel Finklea and Waymond Ivey and attended DC public schools. Daymond worked as a cook at various jobs in DC. His hobby was making people laugh. As a child Daymond was a member of St. Job Baptist Church. Daymond will be remembered as a funny person always "jonin" for anyone needing a laugh.
Daymond is survived by Takisha (sister) of Norfolk VA, Collin Butler (son), Claudia Butler (son's mom) of Virginia Beach, VA, Aunts Emma Primm of Monroeville AL, Sallie Bullard of Washington DC, Willie, Sarah, Latarsha Finklea, of Mobile AL, and uncles Joseph and Westley Finklea of Mobile AL. He was preceded in death by Ethel Finklea, (mother), Waymond L. Ivey (father) Lettie Mae Finklea (grandmother)and Beatrice Ivey (grandmother) and a host of loving relatives and friends.
He also leaves his 2 lifelong best friends Daryl "Duke" Simmons and Ke Vines.
