His warmth and laughter brought light to the lives of all who knew him. Born to a family that cherished community and hard work, Chip grew into a man who effortlessly embodied these values. Throughout his life, he was a pillar of strength and support to his loved ones. He is survived by his adoring step-daughter, Carrie-Ann Carrier; his appreciative son-in-law, Andrew Smith; and his pride and joy, grandsons Joseph and Nicolas Edwards. Chip also leaves behind his dear sister, Mary McLaughlin, who stood by him as both sibling and confidant. Chip's passion for the outdoors was evident in his favorite pastime: fishing with Joseph and Nicolas. He cherished these moments, instilling in them not only the art of fishing but also the value of patience and the beauty of nature. His grandsons will forever treasure the memories of the gentle waves and the shared silence of anticipation, punctuated by their grandfather's laughter. Beyond the serene lakes and rivers, Chip had a talent for breathing new life into old equipment. His hands, always busy at work, could fix anything that seemed beyond repair.
