Celebrating the Life of
August 22, 1974 — January 18, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Maria Filon, a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend. Dana was born on August 22nd, 1974 and left this world far too soon on January 18th, 2025 in Tampa, Florida at the age of 50. She is survived by her only daughter, Briana Hill, who was the light of her life. Dana will be remembered by all who knew her for her incredible strength, fierce protectiveness, and unbreakable spirit as a survivor who overcame so much. She had an immense love for animals and was always going out of her way to care for and protect them, rescuing many furry friends over the years. Dana's compassion extended to everyone she met - she was the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back without a second thought. Though she faced many struggles and hardships in life, Dana never let them dim her warm smile or dull the sparkle in her eyes. Her resilience in the face of adversity was truly inspiring. While she may no longer be with us physically, Dana's legacy of love, strength and generosity of spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. We will cherish the memories we have of the laughter and joy she brought to our world. Rest in peace Mom, you will be deeply missed and never forgotten. We love you

I have your recipe for eclair cake aunt Dana. So many times we would eat it as teenagers Briana and I. I would ask you to make it before I came over to spend the night. I remember you making sure we cleaned the house before going to the mall, because you understood the balance of fun and discipline as a parent. I truly appreciate and admire you for everything you are. I am going to miss your laugh. I’ll be having a hamburger with no cheese for you. I’ll make sure to hug Briana every chance I get as an appreciation for bringing her into this world. I have so many memories with you that I will keep safe and look back on with true happiness. I am so grateful for you. You’re an amazing person through and through. I love you so much Aunt Dana. I love you so much nanner.
