Damion Ray Hernandez

Damion Ray Hernandez passed from this earth December 19, 2024, at the age of 26.  Damion is survived by his parents Jesus and Chrissy Calderon; his siblings Marissa, Ashley, Justin and Miranda; and his nieces Jasmine and Rhanyra. He is proceeded in death by his sister Justeen.

Damion was born November 20, 1998 in San Antonio, TX but raised and ran the 956. He loved loud music, good food, cold beer, family gatherings and driving his truck cross country.  Always the first to rise, he never stayed still.  There was always something to do or someone to help out.  He was a bright and caring person whose values were anchored in a profoundly intertwined bond with family and those he loved. Damion was affectionate and loving, willing to stop on the side of the road to help a stranger. He had a strong will and never held back when he wanted something.  His funny noises and memorable one liners would leave a smile on your face and laughter in the room.  His music selection: top tier.  His affinity for a cold Miller Lite: undeniable.  His love for his family: infinite. He often posed the question “what would y’all do without me”, and we honestly don’t know.  At this moment, all we can do is move forward with his spirit in mind, his love in our hearts, and his words in our ears “chaaaachowwwww!”.
