Celebrating the Life of
September 12, 1936 — May 2, 2026
Dale Venne, 89, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, surrounded by family.
He was born on September 12, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Carroll and Josephine (née Wichowski) Venne. Dale was known above all for his unwavering honesty and unfiltered sense of humor.
Those who knew Dale remember his wide range of interests and hobbies. He was an electrical designer by trade and loved creating stereo speakers that produced impeccable sound, then putting them to the test by playing his favorite music at full volume. As a master woodworker and carpenter, he worked magic with wood, designing beautiful furniture and custom gun stocks that showcased his attention to detail and his artistic talent. He loved fishing and hunting, taking annual trips to the Crosby area of northern Minnesota and Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. He was also fortunate to catch a 75-pound halibut in Alaska just a few years ago. For his 80th birthday, he went hunting in Wyoming and bagged an impressive mule deer. Dale was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and, throughout his life, usually had a dog by his side and his favorite beer, Leinenkugel, in hand. Above all, Dale loved spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and the occasional unsolicited opinion.
Dale is survived by his siblings, Thomas (Sharyn) Venne and Gloria Tiefke; his children, Jeff (Jill), Pamela Newman (Dave Baker), Timm Venne, and Dana (Emmett) OMalley; his grandchildren, Leja Venne (Jake Nitka), Chad (Kristina) Venne, Blake (Lorissa) Duval, Aaron (Dillon) Duval, Lauryn and Sydney Venne, Ella and Beckett OMalley; his great-grandchildren, Mason Kasten, Macy and Jovie Nitka, Bentley, Tucker and Holden Venne, Evalyn and Kinsler Duval, Jason and Dalton Duval; his girlfriend Sherry Karrasch; his dear friends Pete Papageorge, Ed and Mary McNutt, Phil Whacker and John Madson. Dale is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
