Obituary
Hamima Shabazz transitioned peacefully with her family by her side on October 29, 2025 in Atlanta, GA at the age of 68. A funeral is scheduled for October 31, 2025 at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam, with a reception to follow.
Join us as we honor and celebrate her legacy and life. You do not have to be Muslim to attend — all are warmly invited to come as you are. We kindly ask that guests dress modestly out of respect for the space. Please note that shoes will need to be removed before entering the prayer area. For those cannot attend the service, a link will be provided for you to join virtually.
After the service, join us in a funerary procession to Salaam Memorial Cemetery for burial. We will proceed en masse to 3095 Jonesboro Rd SE, Atlanta, GA.
Following the burial, family and close friends are invited to join us in remembrance and celebration. Please contact for reception details.
