Celebrating the Life of
May 27, 1952 — December 31, 2024
Cynthia June Pasco (née Whitson), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and photographer, passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 72, surrounded by her loving husband and children.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Jerry Pasco; her daughter, Nicole Pasco; her son, Alex Pasco; her son-in-law, Derek Donley; and her daughter-in-law, Nora Pasco. Most importantly, she leaves behind a cherished legacy through her beloved grandchildren, Bertram and Josephine Pasco. Nothing brought her greater joy than being their Nana.
A lifelong resident of Los Angeles, Cindy was born on May 27, 1952 to Virginia Sparber (Marvin) and Samuel Whitson (Juanita). Cindy graduated from El Segundo High School and studied Photography at Otis College of Art and Design. She married Jerry on November 10, 1979, aboard the Swift of Ipswich; their union was blessed by Captain Herb, who might have been as tipsy as the boat, and later at their parish, St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Together, they built a joyful life filled with countless camping trips and fishing adventures, dedicated volunteer work for her children’s schools, and many early mornings at Southern California ice hockey rinks. Cindy’s hobbies revolved around her family; her focus was always on supporting their goals, and she brought boundless enthusiasm to her children’s interests.
Those who knew her will remember Cindy as someone who was always happy to join a group, have a long chat, share a laugh or help create a fun event. Her kindness and vibrant spirit touched everyone around her, and she will be deeply missed.
