Charles Henry Nesbitt, born on March 23, 1951, in Marshall, Texas, passed away on August 5, 2024, in Longview, Texas. He was a devoted member of the Red Oak United Methodist Church in Hallsville, Texas, where he served faithfully until its disbandment.
Charles was a proud graduate of H.B. Pemberton High School, Class of 1970. His career began at Smith Steel Casting Company and concluded with his retirement from Letourneau, marking decades of dedicated service.
He leaves to cherish his legacy, his children: Shermica White, Sheryl Nesbitt, and Pristan Nesbitt; two grandchildren LaKatilyn Allen and DaLavion White, both of Tyler, Texas; brothers: Lorenzo Wilborn of Dallas, Texas, Herman (Patricia) Nesbitt, Byron, (Belinda) Nesbitt, Claudell Nesbitt, Albert (Alice) Nesbitt, all of Marshall, Texas; five sisters, Dorothy Bradley, Gloria Dailey, and Brenda (Albert) Green, all of Marshall, Texas, Ola (Shady, Sr.) Carter of Dallas, Texas, and Ulonda Marshall of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Nesbitt, Jr.; parents, Harmon and Bertha Caut Nesbitt; and siblings, Wendell Nesbitt, Willie Katherine Nesbitt, Irma Robertson, Carolyn Pickles, Lewis Gaut, and Clayton Nesbitt.
A service to celebrate Charles's life will be held at Global Life Changing Ministries International, located at 1933 FM 3251, Hallsville, Texas on August 10, 2024 at 11:00am, vistation will be Friday from 5pm-7pm His commitment to his faith, family, and community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
