Charles Frances Reuland Jr

Charles F. Reuland Jr., age 81, of Hinckley, IL passed away at Prairie Crossing in Shabbona, IL on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was born in St. Charles on August 28, 1943 the son of Charles F. and Josephine (Schuldt) Reuland, Sr.

Charles served his country as a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Reuland was united in marriage to Miss Sandra Kerber on April 29, 1967 and they spent the next 57 years happily together. He was employed in management for many years by Ace Hardware. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be missed by his family and friends.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sandra Reuland of Hinckley, IL; his children, Julia (Thomas) Poe of Esmond, IL and James (fiancé Lena Helm) Reuland of Dekalb, IL; his five grandchildren; one great-grandchild, with three more great-grandchildren on the way; his siblings Paul (Beverly) Reuland of Scotts Bluff, NE and Judith (Virgil) Schroeder of Omaha, NE; his brother-in-law Brad Buzen of FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in his death by his parents, Charles F. and Josephine Reuland, Sr; his sister Jeaninne Buzen; and his great-grandson Atreus Jonathan Poe.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley, IL.

Lunch to follow the Service at James Reuland’s house located 10202 Perry Road, Dekalb, IL.
