Although I didn't know Carol well, I will always remember how happy she was when my little girls loved what she cooked. That seemed to be her measurement when she asked me how the meal was at AH "Did the girls like it?". She was a very talented cook. Through her food you could taste her care and compassion for others. We are praying that Haskell and family can find comfort in Jesus during this profound loss.
My family and I send heartfelt condolences to the Clark/Yates family regarding loss of Ms. Carol. Know that you are in our prayers. We are praying that you feel God's love even closer at this time. I first met Carol at Advent Home Learning Center in 2009. I was so impressed with the level if excellence she demonstrated in her culinary skills. It was truly a blessing to work with and watch her in the kitchen. It was also a blessing to receive the fruits of her labor- The FOOD! It was clear that she had God's blessing on her as a chef; specifically, a plant-based one. I observed that many who partook of her meals came to see the beauty of a diet that was according to God's plan. Praise the Lord for this witness through Ms. Carol! It has blessed many, including me. I'm thankful that our paths crossed. I treasure the humorous moments we shared. I trust in the blessed hope of seeing her again at the Welcome Table in "that land that is fairer than day".
What is fondly remembered by most is that Carol expressed her love for others through simple yet profound acts of service. She was a talented cook who infused her emotions into her culinary creations, often using food as her language when words fell short. Carol found immense satisfaction in seeing empty plates and the contented expressions of those who enjoyed her meals. Her legacy of love and care lives on in the hearts of all who were nourished by her heartfelt cooking.
Sending my condolences to Haskell and Carol's family. Remember that God is able to comfort you beyond humanly possible. I remember Carol's cooking! That woman could throw down. I especially loved her vegan Mac N Cheese. It was the best so far and I always looked forward to it for lunch or dinner at AH. She was a great chef at AH and till this day, I miss that vegan mac! Although it seems hard and seems like you will not overcome the pain of grief, please know, this too shall pass. Until we meet again on that beautiful shore.

My family and I want to express heartfelt condolences to the Clark/Yates family on the loss of Ms. Carol. Know that we are praying that you feel God's love even closer at this time. I first met Carol back in 2009 at Advent Home Learning Center. I was so impressed with level if excellence she demonstrated in her culinary skills. It was a great to work with and watch her create amazing dishes in real-time! Truly Gods blessing was on her as a chef, specially, a plant-based one. I observed that many who partook of her meals came to see the beauty of adopting a diet in accordance of God's plan. Praise God for this witness through Ms. Carol! It was a blessing to many, including myself. A few weeks ago, my mom and I had the privilege to sing, pray, and read scripture for her while she was in the Spartanburg ICU. We will treasure the memory of that time for all of our days. We trust in the blessed hope that we will see Ms. Carol again at the Welcome Table in "that land that is fairer than day."
