Mrs. Carla B. Lee, 71, passed away on 25 May, 2024 at the Inova Hospital, Lansdowne, VA. Carla was born on 20 November, 1952 in Oklahoma to Mr. and Mrs. William E. Barclay. She was a 1975 graduate of the University of Florida where she majored in education. She was married to Colonel (retired) Charles (Chuck) B. Lee Jr. on 15 November, 1975 in Jacksonville, Florida. Carla and Chuck spent over 48 years together as a married couple. During their time together while Chuck was in the Army Carla taught 3d and 4th grade in a number of civilian and Department of Defense Elementary Schools in Georgia, California, Belgium, Germany and Panama. Carla loved talking/e-mailing/texting/helping her family and friends, children, reading, traveling, listening to music by her favorite artists-Elvis, Andrea Bocelli, Jimmy Buffett, and Toby Keith-walking on the beach, and playing ping pong. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She is survived by her husband of over 48 years, Chuck, as well as aunts, nephews and nieces in Florida, Kansas, and Virginia. There will be a celebration of life in Florida at a date, time and location to be determined.
