Candice Ellen Mehling, aged 53, passed away peacefully at Aurora at Home Zilber Family Hospice on November 11, 2024, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. She was born on June 28, 1971, Candice was known for her kindness, love, and caring nature. She dedicated some of her time to helping others and was involved in volunteering for the American Heart Association and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Candice grew up attending Fern wood Elementary School and graduated from MATC Adult High School. She built a career as a Medical Underwriter at Assurant Health, where her meticulous nature and commitment to excellence were highly valued.
Her personal life was filled with joy from her hobbies which included playing cards, cribbage, bowling, bingo, and frequent trips to the movies. Candice's love for these activities was outshined by the time she cherished with her family.
She leaves behind a loving family: her husband David Mehling, daughters Brittany and Amelia Mehling; father Stanley Will and step-mother Cindy White; mother Constance Limon; siblings Christine Garcia (Ben Garcia), and Scott Will (Eve Riechert-Will); in-laws Robert Mehling, Joy Stelter, Amy Hopfer (Bill Hopfer), Becky Mehling, Mark Mehling, Ruth Fus; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Larry Esser Senior, Geraldine Esser, Neal Will, Dorothy Will, and mother-in-law Carole Leppala-Mehling.
Candice's life was a testament to her loving nature and her enduring commitment to her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Contributions in memory of Candice can be made to the American Heart Association or the Susan G. Komen Foundation, organizations that were very close to her heart.
