I met Dyann back in 1980 through friends back then. During the years we became friends and gradually we had got to know each other's families as well. There were times I would be there for her in a time of need as good friends should be. I'm a little older than her, so I was adopted as a big sister through the years. She was such an extraordinary young lady. They say that opposites attract, but one of the things we had in common was music and our favorite was listening to Prince' music which was her favorite and actually got me hooked on listening to his music. One fun memory dancing to Prince with her son which he was 4 years old back then and her cousin Skip just dancing and singing. Those were fun times back then. I can't squeeze in almost 40 years of friendship on here. But I can only say that not a day that went by and even our last conversation was that she always told me that she loved me as a sister and a good friend that was always there for her. I'm glad I was also there when she couldn't cope her mother's death but it meant a lot to her for someone to lend an ear. I can go on & on about our friendship. I loved her very much and there wasn't nothing I could and wouldn't do for her. She will always be a great part of sharing a life with my sista, my (as they said back in the day) "my ace, boon, coon", my bestie for life! She was the best of being a friend and I will never forget her, especially when listening to our favorite artist, known as Prince. God bless you my friend and that I will always love you! 💕
