Celebrating the Life of
February 4, 1976 — May 20, 2025
Our dear father, husband, friend, coach and mentor, Ben Scholtz, passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 49 on Tuesday evening, May 20, 2025, at his home in Menifee, CA.
Ben spent his free time experiencing the joys of life with his wife Cyrille, playing with his children, Adriana (10) and Austin (6), volunteering or serving the community, coaching soccer, or just relaxing and having a good time with friends and family.
He is also survived by his father, Robert, and two children from a previous marriage, Madison (23) and Benjamin (25), as well as his infant granddaughter, Madison's first child.
The void that Ben leaves in our world is significant, and he will truly be missed.

We will always remember coach Ben ! Along with the strong foundation he had with his wife and kids ! The passion for soccer for the respect and care he gave to each of his team members. We will forever remember this last day we saw him in which he celebrated the kids with a beautiful chucke cheese party ! RIP Coach Ben love and prayers from the Mota family

Coach Ben hand out ice cones the last soccer practice! Always finding a way to motivate the kids

Ben actually helped Easton to go from not wanting to play soccer to actually starting to enjoy soccer!

Ben was so patient with all these kids and Easton loved him! Ben, you will be missed!

Ben and his family are so very special to a lot of people who had the pleasure to get to know them. The way he and his wife are raising their children is with a loving and caring heart. This picture shows just that as just after losing the championship game, Ben’s daughter was first to come and hug our daughter congratulating her on the win. Such a testament to her and their families character. We are truly grateful to have had the pleasure to know him, he will truly be missed.

One year later we beat Laz’s team….Ben was so happy! 😜. He truly was so happy for our girls and the great game both teams played that day. Ben cared so much for his friends and soccer family. 🙏

That time the Queen of Hearts beat Chad's team, the Megalodons, in the Fall '24 championship ... I know Ben loved that! :-)

Ben loved taking his family out on fun adventures.
Dear Scholtz family, Ben was my dear friend, who loved having fun and donating his time and energy to making our world a better place. I am beyond devastated for the loss, and pray for your beautiful family. I will truly miss you, Ben.
