Celebrating the Life of
July 22, 1939 — June 3, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anne Hall. Anne lived a life full of love, courage, and unwavering strength.
Anne was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose warrior soul touched the lives of everyone she met. Raised in California, she moved to Patuxent River, Maryland, during her senior year due to her father's transfer, where she attended Great Mills High School and met her soulmate, William (Bill) Hall. She went on to have a fulfilling career as a leader and caretaker in many fields, including healthcare, senior living, property management, and education. Anne always cared for those in her charge with compassion and dedication.
After the passing of her beloved husband, Bill, she demonstrated extraordinary courage and self-reliance. She embraced her new role with determination and grace, becoming a beacon of strength for her family. Her resilience, indomitable spirit, and perseverance in the face of loss were a testament to her warrior ways, inspiring all who knew her to live with bravery and tenacity.
Anne's favorite place was her treasured lakehouse in Westminster, SC. She and Bill realized many dreams come true in their little slice of heaven on earth, which they transformed into a beautiful sanctuary. It was certain that you would find Anne there with her hands in the soil, creating landscapes that brought joy and inspiration to her and those around her. Even in her final days, she was looking forward to returning to the lakehouse to plant new flowers.
As the matriarch of her family, Anne was the heart and soul of gatherings, always offering wisdom, comfort, and love. She nurtured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with steadfast dedication, creating a legacy of warmth and kindness. Her home was a haven where everyone felt cherished and supported, a true reflection of her nurturing spirit.
Anne is survived by her loving children, Lisa Roche, Lori Lennox, and Heidi Winfield; her grandchildren, Casey Zebell, Luke Lennox, Jack Winfield, and Emily Winfield; her great-granddaughter, Callie Zebell, and her soon-to-be-born great-grandson, Miller Zebell; her son-in-law, Matt Zebell; and her extended family, Chip Roche and Rick Lennox. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Hall.
We celebrate 'Annie' being reunited with the love of her life, 'Billy,' once again. Her legacy of courage and love will forever remain in our hearts. We love you, Momma!
There will be no formal service, as the family will be celebrating her life privately. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you sow a seed in Anne’s memory or donate to the Dementia Society of America: https://www.dementiasociety.org.
