Andrew "Andy" Peter Hobbs passed away Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. surrounded by his loved ones. Andy was born in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine on October 2nd,1960 to the late Edward and JoAnne Hobbs. He was raised in a large family with three brothers and four sisters.
Andy attended Foxcroft Academy High School in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. After relocating to Florida, he met his future wife Susan and they married November 3rd,1984.
Andy was a master carpenter and skilled craftsman. He spent many years working for Nachman Construction, building and renovating houses in Pinellas County before becoming self-employed. Andy was always willing to help family and friends in a time of need. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, and pheasant in Maine as well as wild boar in Florida.
Andy will forever be remembered for his witty sense of humor and contagious laugh and was loved by all those whose lives he touched. Andrew was predeceased in death by his parents, his sister Pamela Bissonnette, parents-in-law, Richard and Patricia Ford, and his sister-in-law Mamie Hobbs.
Andrew is survived by his devoted wife Susan of 39 years, daughter Amy and son Andrew. Additionally, he leaves behind two beloved grandchildren; Mikaela Paddock and Carter Hobbs, his brothers; Jeff, Tony, Ken and his wife Stephanie, his sisters; Joyce and her husband Bill Patterson, Debbie and her husband Kevin Donovan and Lorinda and her husband David Newmister, and his brother-in-law George Bissonnette, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
